This is overstated:
"Security team has now discussed and mentioned their concerns and has given us how this needs to be fixed for new desktop installs."

We have given our concerns from a security point of view as a team and have given our views individually as developers. This does not 'need' to be fixed on the desktop, but if people want to pursue different configurations for desktop and server, it 'could' be fixed by following a few guidelines.
