I see the security point issue behind this but I also see the issue.
One use case that I see for it is when I am typing in my sudo password I don't know if I put in too many letters. I often have to CTRL C to escape out and try again.
But I do agree this should not be on by default on server. I also think that this should only be enabled if it is easily changeable via vsudo.
