I can replicate with a small (1.3 MiB) f4v file in Jaunty, either by right clicking and selecting properties, or by enabling the properties pane (F11) and hovering over it. However, a blank mp4 file (created via new file->text file) did not cause the problem, and neither did a downloaded avi file (4.3 MiB).
