After a reboot

- smstools 3.0.10-1 (hardy):

ls -la /var/run/smstools/
ls: cannot access /var/run/smstools/: No such file or directory

- smstools 3.0.10-1ubuntu0.1 (hardy-proposed):

ls -la /var/run/smstools/
total 4
drwxr-xr-x 2 smsd dialout 60 2008-08-15 18:47 .
drwxr-xr-x 16 root root 640 2008-08-15 18:48 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 smsd dialout 5 2008-08-15 18:47 smsd.pid

Updating to 3.0.10-1ubuntu0.1 solved the reboot problem, but introduced Bug #224241
