.desktop cleanup

Validation changes only.

screem won't compile for me today, but I believe the attached patch will make the necessary changes to screem.desktop.in.

Thanks for the report, Emmet. Are there any other changes that need to be made to this .desktop file?

Indeed yes. The Application category may now be removed. I've attached an updated patch for screem.desktop.in

I'd like to help with this, or at least with luck be shown what your doing so I can learn how to help with bugs....

This is a pretty easy fix, dthomasdigital. Try asking on #ubuntu-motu for some tips on how to approach this. They should be able to point you to the right documentation on getting started on this sort of work.

Thank you for your bug, debian did some desktop cleanup, could you update your patch for the new hardy version and describe in the changelog what you change and why so we can send those changes to debian?

I'm just going to close the bug. The Debian .desktop file is a little cleaner, and .desktop cleanup is an ongoing process. There's little point to tracking a diff here: the solution belongs elsewhere. Specific differences were generated for each patch by running desktop-file-validate on the .desktop file, which ought be done upstream, in Debian, and in Ubuntu as a matter of standard practice. With recent changes to lintian, this now becomes a lintian warning (if it is still valid), and is better handled through normal package QA than as a bug.

Note that a bug may still be useful for those requesting specific sponsorship of changes to be applied to the package: while I am closing this with "Won't Fix", I'd not object to anyone reopening if they plan to track the variation, and get it applied in the appropriate places: I'm certainly no longer sufficiently concerned to generate another patch.

My apologies: I somehow missed the recent attachment of a patch for this issue by Maurizio, and thought the comment preceeding my closure applied to my very old patches.
