I am ok, a workaround is not a bugfix, but you can see several bugs in launchpad fixed with work arounds.

The pcskeaker has simply been blacklisted to fix a bug that no one knows where is the problem. It is more bad than just change the state of a checkbox by default for a language.

Perhaps this bug (with pcskeakers) has been marked has fixed because it was in one hundred paper-cut project I don't know...

Anyway, I am going to vote for your idea as soon as it has been validated.
