Comment 2 for bug 382881

I tried to compile it in my PPA and it built. PPAs don't have pkgbinarymangler support, but looking at build log (especially file contents at the bottom of it), you can see files under /usr. This is due to recent python-support (>= 0.90.5), which installs files under /usr if it discovers them under /usr/local. That change was needed in Jaunty because of an older python-support version (0.8.7ubuntu4). I've also tried to build it in a pbuilder with the same results, so it should be safe. I'll track FTBFS in case it happens.
