The updated alsa-lib doesn't work, because the prefix is not expanded as it should be:

$ LC_ALL=C alsamixer
ALSA lib control.c:867:(snd_ctl_open_conf) Cannot open shared library ${prefix}/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_ctl_pulse.so
cannot open mixer: No such file or directory
