Well, this happens because all the logic for displaying those hints is in the ubuntu-logo / ubuntu-text themes, but the decision was made to boot without 'splash' on Server, so instead we're using the 'details' splash plugin which doesn't handle these messages. Reassigning to plymouth; I don't see any way for this to be resolved before release, unless you think we should revisit the decision to not use 'splash' on server.
