Thanks. However, there are some debugsymbols missing as well as the threaded stack retrace. Plese do the following:

Install these packages:

libgtk2.0-0-dbgsym
libglib2.0-0-dbgsym
pidgin-dbgsym
libc6-dbgsym
libc6-i686-dbgsym

and try again. Please also look again for the correct commands to issue to gdb:

It's not full backtrace, it's "backtrace full" ;-)
after the info registers, please issue
