Closed down Pidgin. Waited a few seconds for all the defunct processes to go away. Restarted Pidgin. Probably only a minute later before the first defunct process has arrived.
I am signed into 4 IRC channels automatically on startup. I have tried to send my identify command to the NickServ but other than that I have not made any chats yet.
