Sorry, as I am subscribed to the package I only got the
first message when the bug was re-assigned. I see that you
provided more information now.

Are you running Hardy or Intrepid? If it is the latter we will soon
have a new packagekit version available, and it would be great
if you could try that version to see how it works.
