Erm ... You a) knew this problem exists (by having a workaround in Compiz), b) now disabling that workaround because it also causes some minor problems, and c) telling the OOo guys *afterwards* that their code is buggy, leaving a large user base with a broken Impress Presenter? Not what I'd call an optimal course of action.
