Moving or resizing text boxes is very slow in Impress when image antialiasing is enabled. I thought this old bug was already reported but it seems not. However, I'm not an Ubuntu user but I saw a bug report (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/411542) that deals with the same issue.

To reproduce : open the attached presentation example, and, with image antialiasing enabled in the LibreOffice options, try to move or resize the box which contains the text "Example (slow)". This operation is very slow even on a fast machine. If you disable image antialiasing in the LibreOffice options then the move / resize operation becomes very fast and usable.

I also discovered that reducing the box size around the text greatly improves the speed (with antialiasing enabled). This can be checked on the example by moving the box which contains the text "Example (fast)".

The bug appears (at least) on LibreOffice 3.4.3 and 3.5.1, on Linux (Official build with deb packages on Debian Squeeze) or Windows XP SP3 (Official build). And since I have two computers with ATI and Nvidia graphic cards, it seems to be independent of the hardware.
