I have the same problem in Ubuntu Oneiric. I have a quite old but strong graphic card GT8800 which playied good in earlier versions(after some tweaking). Now my second monitor is not detected at all.

This is what I get in Nvidia-Settings -> X Server DIsplay Configuration :

Unable to load X Server Display Configuration page:

Failed to query NoScanout for screen 0.
