By enabling "set gfxpayload=keep" in /etc/grub.d/00_headers, sometimes it works but often I get this X-server message:

(EE) Apr 18 17:40:33 NVIDIA(0): Failed to allocate primary surface: out of memory
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
