I don't know with which security enhancing CFLAGS you have compiled nspluginwrapper on (u)buntu but
afaik I only was able to compile it on Gentoo (I'm a former / part-time gentoo user) without the -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE, ssp and pie setting,
so if you have that enabled or ssp / stack smashing protection, try offering an version which got compiled with less security (e.g. vanilla compiler),
that might sound/be counterintuitive but at least in that way it almost never crashed for me
