I completely agree! It looks ugly upon startup. Blocking the Firefox search bar, of course, is a much smaller problem than the aesthetics as the bubbles are by nature clickthrough and increasingly transparent as you approach them.

Regardless as to whether this is fixed there should be a customization dialogue under Prefs where you can set stuff like this, as well as corners and maybe shape, animation, a whole bunch of stuff.

But for the time being change it back!
