Dear unassigned i was surprised to see that this has been a known problem for years! i think i will try kde. if that does not work i think it is bye bye ubuntu. i have been using ubuntu since 7.06 on the same hardware and 10.04 and 10.10 have been upgraded to invite me into this group... i think the number of affected is much higher - i had a hard time diagnosing and id ing this awful bug.

sure seems more important than a unity desktop! i have spent hours with this lousy bug.
