This is a massive bug IMO.

Now that Intrepid adds the new fast-user-switch applet as the power button (so is essentially the default behaviour), and thus fast user switching is now actively encouraged, it seems crazy that something essential like a network tray icon is not available for all users at once...

The old version of nm-applet worked FINE under Hardy when switching users...
