Comment 58 for bug 446394

I think I did it correctly but I never underestimate my ability to make a mistake. I added the ppa then apt-get update & apt-get install network-manager=0.8~rc2~git.20100108t192339.a74e2cf-0ubuntu1~nmt1~karmic
and apt-cache showpkg network-manager returns that this version is installed.
