Trolling or not, I certainly still have the problem and nothing I've tried has worked. Maybe I'm not doing everything right, and maybe I'm not a Linux geek that understands all the suggestions here - maybe I'm not even savvy enough to provide the thread the reports and details needed to help understand the bug (I've tried, though!) - but does that mean a fix isn't merited? I hope Ubuntu developers didn't mean to imply that only Linux geeks should utilize Ubuntu and the rest of us are out of luck. I understand some folks have found workarounds, but I'm guessing not everyone who uses Ubuntu is capable of debugging on their own (I can't be the only one!!! I manage pretty well and it's all a great learning experience but I seem to have hit my knowledge limit on this one.)

I could be wrong, but the fact is that I did not have this problem under any previous Ubuntu release, and have had it since upgrading to Hardy. Logic suggests this is an issue with Hardy, as I have done nothing to my machine other than install regular upgrades and updates from Ubuntu. I'm otherwise very happy with Ubuntu and am just hoping this will not be an issue in the next release.
