I've just reinstalled moonlight-plugin-mozilla (together with libmoon of course) to check the crash again, but firefox is now happy again. Maybe there was a bug in one of the lower libraries that caused libmoon to fail that has since been fixed by one of the updates?

I'll stay subscribed, but unless I say more in another comment then this bug is fixed for me.
