I have a Dell E6410 and had to ditch Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit for 10.10 alpha 3 (and I'm not particularly happy about my present situation!).

I am unable to follow the process of patching the kernel - Chris Van Hoof (#97), how did you go about applying the fix? What is 'this fix' that you refer to? Can someone please provide me with an easy-to-follow procedure in order to get Ubuntu 10.04 working?
