Aditional info: The kernel (boot/grub) options I use are "quiet splash acpi_sleep=s3_bios". I installed linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic (2.6.32-24.42) and the corresponding linux-header files (using: proposed, main server). I still boot to a blank screen (unless I boot w/ 2.6.35 RC6).
