JFYI, the latest drm-intel-next kernels (2.6.35-997 and 999) also give me a blank screen on boot under lucid, but Carlos Parra Camargo confirms that they do work under maverick. Seems like a very weird issue.
This is on a latitude E6510 with an intel core i5 chip with intel integrated graphics running lucid.
Manoj, the kernel in http:// kernel. ubuntu. com/~manjo/ lucid/lp561802/ gives me a blank screen on boot, but I can hear the gdm drums and I can login using the keyboard.
The kernel in http:// kernel. ubuntu. com/~manjo/ lucid/lp578673/ does work, but it does not fix the suspend/resume bug reported here https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ linux/+ bug/578673. I know it's weird, for most people who commented on that bug this kernel did fix the problem.
