Afaik we did not post any X.org updates yesterday (we're frozen for beta). Perhaps there was a kernel change causing this.

Can you please attach your /var/log/dpkg.log ?

Also, try booting an earlier kernel (hold down the left shift key during boot to get into grub, then select an earlier kernel version).
