Another strange thing is that even if I plug the headphones the speakers continue to work, but there's no sound through the headphones. It's like I didn't even plugged the headphones. Ignore my comments in post#30. The computer uses indeed the Conexant CX20582 Chip. I tried running sudo modprobe -r snd-hda-intel but as it says that it's "IN USE" I have to find another way to unload it, and change the settings.
