Comment 18 for bug 497546

Hi there,

I might have bumped into a similar problem.
After a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04, the built in mic of my laptop doesn't seem to work.

I understand (post #10) that we do not have any checkbox for internal/external mic selection and autoswitching is done based on jack presence.
In my case an external microphone connected to the 1/8" jack input works but if I disconnect it, the internal mic doesn't work at all.
