Which means that you have a dependecy problem, between linux-image-generic and restricted-modules-2.6.28-15-generic. Please, can you try to resolve those dependencies and reinstall again?

I'm going to mark this bug as 'Incomplete' to keep track on it. Please feel free to return it to 'New' if this still affects you, or if the reinstallation does not solve the problem.
