Hello Dimitri

I am making the point that whether using an older or newer version of the kernel, whether 386 or 686, it works for me.

Of course, this doesn't immediately help you if it isn't working for you. But at least the developer knows that there are platforms where it works perfectly, and that it isn't an issue of kernel compilation optimisation.

It also lets the developer know that the existing kernel module is very useful to those for whom it works. After all, the developer will normally get comments from those who are having a problem with this module, and is less likely to get a comment from those who are not having trouble.

This has 2 effects:
1)The developer can look at the hardware differences to help identify the bug, perhaps it is a dual cpu problem, or a cardbus bridge problem?
2)Lets the developer know not to delete the driver as doing so will inconvenience many users. I have used this driver on two other systems, and each time, it has worked perfectly. In my experience of this driver with the Asus WL107G, it appears failure is the exception rather than the rule.
