Should we set a collective bounty here? So many affected people, everyone might give a few bucks to someone who finally improves the upstream drivers to make them work out-of-box and easily includable in modern Linux distributions like Ubuntu. Once it's done, the developer gets paid. Saw it at https://www.bountysource.com/ recently.
