I think that a good way to investigate the problem is to install an updated uswsusp package: http://packages.debian.org/sid/uswsusp and experiment the s2ram command as suggested here: http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram#My_machine_is_not_in_the_whitelist.2C_what_can_i_do.3F these experiments are a little time consuming, so I did very few of them: s2ram -f --no result s2ram -f -a 3 --no result s2ram -f -a 2 --computer wakes up after some time but still some disk errors persist
