Have tried recently again with Intrepid, it seems ok now, but it is still running hotter than I would like....
Also I still have a suspend problem. The laptop goes into suspend but will not wake from it, screen stays turned off and need to do a hard reset, although the hard drive spins up and flashes a little bit as if it is trying? Xorg problem?
