2.6.27-8 has been reliable for me - I haven't had the kernel freeze or "scheduling while atomic" message ever since I installed it.
Occasionally under heavy system load, I've noticed the 'iwlagn cannot allocate SKB buffers' but it doesn't flood the log any more. (Having said that, gnome-system-log only ever shows "today's" logs now and nothing from previous days.)
