Comment 6 for bug 258381

I tested the linux-image-2.6.27-2-generic kernel, but on _hardy_. No blank screen problems or garbled splash screen.
I'm not ready to do an upgrade to ibex for a full test until at least the first beta (can't loose data or time as I use my computer daily).
