Finally I'm able to run uvesafb.
This is what I did:
-- installed v86d from intrepid repo
-- added the module uvesafb in /etc/initramfs-tools/modules
-- removed all the old parameter in /boot/grub/menu.lst, like video=...
-- created /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb containing the parameters for uvesafb. In my case the line : "options uvesafb mode=1280x768-32 mtrr=3 scroll=ywrap" (without ")
-- updated the initramfs with the command update-initramfs -u
-- rebooted

got it!
