Indeed, in addition to Adam Mc Daniel's comment, I note a regression in Intrepid from Hardy/Gutsy in that none of the scripts on the internet (see http://wiki.eeeuser.com/getting_ubuntu_8.04_to_work_perfectly) now function to make the hotkeys work.
