I've just upgraded the kernel in my Xen hardy guest to

linux-image-2.6.24-19-xen_2.6.24-19.33_i386.deb

I don't currently appear to have the network issues, although I haven't put a high network load on the image yet.

It booted cleanly with none of the usual issues.
