My patch mentioned above is now included in kernel version 2.6.34-rc1 :

The patch applies cleanly to the Lucid-kernel.

I would be nice if someone would backport the patch to the Lucid-kernel. It solves the problem completely. You only have to add the following line to the file "/etc/modprobe.d/options.conf" :

options hid-apple iso_layout=0

The option disables the card-coded ISO-layout.
