It seems to me that the reason you are unable to boot is some other issue than this bug ticket was originally created for and actually this bug ticket has been "closed", because the bug has been fixed and a new kernel has been released. So I'd advise you to create an another bug with detailed information, hardware, output of a serial redirected kernel boot, etc...
