Confirmed, HVR1300 not scanning (tried Me-TV and w_scan) or tuning in to know channels after upgrading to Karmic. Tried V4L-Update, No Success. dmesg shows no Readreg errors.

W-Scan:
ERROR: Sorry - i couldn't get any working frequency/transponder
 Nothing to scan!!
