@hyper_ch What is not working?

look up above for the correct commands
             hdparm -w1 /dev/hdc <------- this is wrong!!

   to reset device ------> sudo hdparm -w /dev/hdc

   to enable DMA -------> sudo hdparm -d1 /dev/hdc
