I've downloaded 8.04 desktop i386 and 64 twice (from MIT today and from Canadian mirror yesterday) and checked MD5 sum and all 4 matched. I've burned them using two different Windows machines. None of iso works and all of them report the same error "...SQUASHFS ... unable to read page..." and I've been trying to install on two different computers started yesterday and I'm now giving up. Oh, and all CDs report problems with between 10 and 18 files. What's interesting is that when I run check repeatedly it reports different number of problems every time. Of course, as a developer I'd jump on this to point out that there's a problem with everything else but distribution, so you can close this if you want but also as a developer I can guarantee you that there's a problem with this distribution for I had not a single problem with 7.10 nor with Fedora ISOs and I'm burning a dozen of both CDs and DVDs a week and have no problems at all. As for bad hardware, yeah, right: "it works on my box" I've heard this one and have to adim used it myself many a time... I guess I'll have to put up a bit more with ~!@#$%^ Windows...
