David from Canonical answered my question on which packages to install. I downloaded the *.deb into 1 directory and typed:

$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb

I restarted my machine and it was like magic. IT WORKED!! MY MACHINE NOW HAS FULL WIRED NETWORK ACCESS!!

I uninstalled this test kernel. When will this be merged into the mainline, so that I can get it through installing the normal updates?
