I've updated iwlwifi to the official Intel 1.2.0 release. You can try it by adding my PPA to your sources.list:
sudo echo "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/timg-tpi/ubuntu gutsy main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get -u upgrade
- or -
wget http://ppa.launchpad.net/timg-tpi/ubuntu/pool/main/l/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-14-generic_2.6.22-14.39_i386.deb sudo dpkg -i linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-14-generic_2.6.22-14.39_i386.deb
Select the -proposed repository in synaptics or /etc/apt/sources.list and wait a day or so for the new package to appear.
