Hoary and Dapper were released more then a year apart, wich one is it? Also please attach some more information (Like the results of dmesg and lsusb) so we can see if your case is relevant at all. Also try if unmodprobing ehci-hcd helps. (sudo modprobe -r ehci-hcd)
