Comment 73 for bug 183033

The above kernel dosn't work for you because all the modifications/modules done by ubuntu aren't included. It took a me a day to rebuild a kernel that works because nobody documents how to do so.
I won't post my kernel because I don't think thats a solution to the problem. But if you want to try to build one for yourselve take these steps:

1. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Kernel/Compile (use the git method)
2. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelGitGuide
3. http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git
 3.1 ubuntu/ubuntu-hardy-lum.git (all the ubuntu modifications)
 3.2 ubuntu/ubuntu-hardy.git
