I have tried it. No effect.
I have a dual-boot PC with WinXP and Ubuntu.

The trick with RAID setting works good only for Ubuntu. It starts, sleeps and wakes up all right. But the Windows fails to start.

But the all_generic_ide option helps only it the PC does not go to sleep or hybernation. Otherwise the problem arises agian at wake-up.
