"This bug is not recorded as needing to be fixed in linux-source-2.6.24 (Ubuntu)" - that means, I won't be able to run ubuntu on my computer, right? Setting the drive to raid is not an option, since I have windows installed, two identical drives, and no confidence the data would survive switching to raid mode...
So, will I really have to wait for 8.10?
